FITNESS GUIDELINES & DIVISIONS
Legacy Fitness *Elite – Open Division - Mr. Fitness-*Master’s/Novice Fitness
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
The Triple-A Fitness Legacy events are held to determine who is the best overall fitness athlete, for each division.
To make this determination, each participant is judged in three different areas of total fitness. Those areas are:
Skill and Agility, which is judged in the Fitness Routine Round; Body Balance and Musculature, which is judged in the
Comparisons or Physique Round; and Mind-Spirit, which is judged in the Spokesperson Round. The scores are based on a
total possible score of 45 points, and each round will count as 1/3 of the total score.
*Master’s/Novice Category is opened to those who meet any of the following criteria:
1. 42 1/2 yrs. or older and have not won the Master Fitness Legacy Title or placed in the top 20 in any major fitness competition.
2. Have competed for less then 24 months and have not placed in the top 20 in any major fitness competition.
(Note: Open Division is open to all however you must choose only one division to compete it...)

THE FITNESS-ROUTINE ROUND:
The Fitness Routine should demonstrate an overall balance of strength, flexibility, endurance, speed, aerobics, agility,
and dance. The costume must be suitable for aerobic-fitness activity and suitable for all audiences.
It can be a 1-piece or 2-piece costume, and both men and women should be properly supported and protected. Clean,
white fitness shoes are preferred, along with white socks. Women and girls should wear tights if needed
(not mandatory/judges reserve the right to request that you were them) if their costumes are cut higher than the
mid-thigh range. All routines must be no shorter than 75 seconds, and no longer than 2:00 minutes.
There is a plus or minus 5-second grace period. All routines a will be judged in the following areas: Execution
(how well & safely the moves are done), Endurance (speed and agility, how strong the performance is),
and Excitement (entertaining and engaging). Up to 15 points total.
THE COMPARISONS ROUND:
In this round, each athlete is judged on his or her fitness appearance. Women must wear a 2-piece swimsuit and men should
wear “Speedo-style” swimwear. The Master’s men have the option of wearing a boxer or trunk-cut swimsuit.
Thong or string cut swim suits are strictly prohibited for all athletes. All women participating in this round should
wear heels while the men may wear fitness shoes, sandals, or go with bare feet. The judges will be looking for
body proportion not size, and a “reasonable amount of body fat”. This is not a bodybuilding competition!
The judges look for an even muscular balance throughout the entire body, and will be comparing each athlete’s body in
its relaxed state. Up to 15 points total.
THE SPOKESPERSON ROUND:
The final round is used to determine which athlete is best suited to represent the fitness industry through Seminars,
Lectures, Workshops, Print Work and Camera Readiness. In this round, each athlete must demonstrate their ability to Walk,
Speak and Present themselves in formal attire, which is a tuxedo for Men, formal evening gown for women.
Each speech should showcase mind, body and spirit connection to wellness as a whole. Wellness can relate to physical
fitness, the fitness and wellness of a home, the community or world. The speech should not be shorter than 30 seconds,
or longer than 60 seconds.
LEGACY- FITNESS MODEL-SEARCH/FEMALE General Overview:
The Triple-A Fitness Legacy Fitness Model competition is an event that does not have a fitness routine component and all posing
or flexing is strictly forbidden. There are only Elite & Open Divisions for this category. There will be 3 rounds in the Legacy Fitness Model-Search Division.
Round 1: Figure Physique Comparisons (Two-Piece).
Round 2: Formal Bathing Suit Modeling (One-Piece) Must include a Pool Jacket or Sarong Wrap.
Round 3: Formal Evening Attire Modeling – A Question will be asked - you will have 30 Seconds to Answer; the judges are not looking for
right or wrong answers, just how well you speak and think.
A Small degree of Muscularity & Separations, no overly visible Striations.
Good Overall Muscle Tone.
Shapely Lines.
Muscle Firmness.
Not Overly Lean.
A Reasonable amount of Body Fat.
Healthy Appearance.
Face, Hair & Make-up done well & styled differently for each round.
Skin Tone Balanced & Even.
Suitable Gown & Make-up & Tanning Colors For Your Tones.
Appropriate Amount of Jewelry Tastefully Worn.
Walk & Modeling Ability – Poise while Speaking, (Not Moving).
A Look of Outer Beauty (As Shown).
A Feeling of Inner Beauty (As Perceived).
A Sense of Charm, Style, Grace & Personality (As Demonstrated).
LEGACY- FITNESS MODEL-SEARCH/MALE General Overview:
The Triple-A Fitness Legacy Fitness Model competition is an event that does not have a fitness routine component and all posing
or flexing is strictly forbidden. There are is only an Open Division for this category. There will be 3 rounds in the Legacy Fitness Model-Search Division.
Round 1: Physique Comparisons (Speedo Style Swim Suit)
Round 2: Sportswear/Sporting Attire Must be New & Clean. Must have a prop such as Frisbee, Volleyball, Beach Towel, etc.
Must Model use of Prop.
Round 3: Formal Evening Attire Modeling - A Question will be asked in which you will have 30 Seconds to Answer.
The judges will be selecting the winner who best demonstrates the following:
A degree of Muscularity & Separations is acceptable, however no overly visible Striations will be allowed.
Good Overall Muscle Tone
Body-Balance and “V” Shaped Lines.
Muscle Firmness.
Not Overly Lean.
A Reasonable amount of Body Fat.
Healthy Appearance.
Face, Hair & Make-up done well & styled differently for each round.
Skin Tone Balanced & Even.
Suitable Tux/Suit Proper Make-up & Tanning For Your Tones & Colors.
Appropriate Amount of Accessories Tastefully Worn.
Walk & Modeling Ability – Stature while Speaking (When Not Moving).
A Look of Outer Attractiveness (As Shown).
A Feeling of Inner Confidence (As Perceived).
A Sense of Charm, Style, Power & Personality (As Demonstrated).
FITNESS LEGACY-JUNIOR DIVISION/BOYS & GIRLS
This event has been designed for the junior participant with any amount of gymnastics or dance background.
Please note that there is no “comparisons” (swimsuit) round for this category. The age range for this division is from
6 to 17. Below are the basic outlines for this category:
1. Routine Round – Prepared routine between 75-90 seconds to music of your choice. Routines should show an even balance of
dance, strength & flexibility. Gymnastics moves are encouraged but are not a requirement.
2. Sportswear Modeling Round – Active clothing or Sports Team Clothing & A prop must be used in this round.
Example: Soccer Jersey w/Soccer Ball, Tennis Outfit w/Racquet, Beach wear with Volleyball/Sun-hat Glasses, etc.
Must “mock demonstrate” or openly demonstrate use of props.
3. Spokesperson Round(Commercial & Print-work Readiness) - Participants must deliver a prepared speech 30-45 seconds,
in formal attire; Party Dress or Suit.
